AMC Opens Tenders for Landmark ₹355.60Cr Elevated EPC Project

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has invited bids for the construction of a four-lane railway overbridge-cum-elevated corridor along the Ahmedabad–Botad railway line, aimed at enhancing connectivity between Sarkhej Circle and the Sanand–Sarkhej Road corridor.

Estimated at ₹355.60 crore, the project will be executed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. The proposed corridor will pass over Level Crossing (LC) No. 28 and traverse key junctions such as L.J. Circle and Sanand Junction, running along the 60-metre-wide Town Planning (TP) road near SG Highway in Ahmedabad.

The selected EPC contractor will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including survey, investigation, detailed design, engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance. The contract also mandates adherence to defined performance standards, technical specifications, safety norms, and milestone-based timelines.

Once completed, the corridor is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in one of Ahmedabad’s rapidly growing industrial and residential belts, while improving both freight and passenger movement. The project will also strengthen regional connectivity between Ahmedabad and nearby industrial hubs.

The deadline for submission of bids is May 5, 2026.
